How does the deck read? (Bear in mind that only about half of the cards have been produced so far).

It will be interesting to see what the final decision will be there. Some of us prefer the card backs to be uniform others like the idea of various card backs. There are different schools of thought on that. We also discussed at length his ideas about sub-categories (can't remember exactly, but something like "Concepts", "Emotions", etc.) within the oracle that would be delineated by colors or symbols on the card backs to distinguish them one from the other. After we did that, he then went through the cards and explained what his original concept was.

Ciro gave us notepads with with small pix of each one to make notes about the cards and the impressions that we got from them as readers. What an interesting experience! First we wrote our impressions of each card. (Oops - did I actually say that in a Tarot forum?) I think of it as "Ciro Unfettered" - he is not bound by the traditional meanings of tarot cards to produce something that we all expect to see when say, the Nine of Cups turns up.

That said, all I can say is that although I already own and love all three of the tarot decks that Ciro has produced, this is my favorite deck already, and it is only partly created. For the record, yes, I am a dyed-in-the-wool Ciro fan, and also, I have begun to be very interested in oracles as a form of divination, so I am naturally pre-disposed to like this deck. Last night I was part of a group of readers who were treated to a first look at this amazing deck in progress.
